iTunes wants to delete my music when i chose to manage music manually, WHY?????

is there a paid help desk for iTunes? I don't understand why iTunes want to erase all the music on my iPod when i ask it to manage my music manually.

There is no paid iTunes help desk.

iTunes sync is only one way, computer to device, and a device can only sync with one library at the time.


The message suggests the iPhone has never synced with this specific library before and a such the sync process can not maintain its contents. It will wipe it and replace it with whatever is in the current iTunes library.


This is the way iTunes has always worked.


If the contents of the iPhone exists in the current library, then this should not be an issue. If it does not, then you will need to extract the music from the iPhone and add it to the library on the computer.
