iCloud Notes will not save. Windows 11 device New problem

Changes/updates to items in iCloud Notes will no longer save. "Saving..." displayed indefinitely at upper right-hand of screen. Windows 11 device. New problem. Thanks in advance!

That sounds like Apple support is using typical pass the buck excuses. I do not use Norton and the problem just happened a few weeks ago. There were no other changes to my PC whatsoever. The problem is with the notes application on the PC. until Apple admits or realizes, something is broken this product is unusable

Thanks. This is definately better than nothing. Good job.

Expect the paste action to take a LONG time - in my case my browser asks me if I want to close the tab it takes so long.

Then to delete the original note (so you don't end up with endless unsaved copies) I have to refresh again and this process also take a LONG time too. Sigh.

Regardless, however, it IS a work-around that DOES eventually work.

Same problem, started a week or two ago I believe. Accessing icloud.com using Chrome on Windows 11. Coincidentally I recently installed iCloud for Windows App (which is worthless) so I had wondered if that was an issue. I'm guessing it's not -- as I found a related issue. I brought up Safari on my iPhone, accessed iCloud.com, went into Notes and made a change. "Some" of the text shows up in Notes (accessed directly through Notes app on iPhone) but not all, and it takes forever. Then on Safari I clicked into iCloud.com Pictures, then back into iCloud.com Notes, and now it's "loading" forever. To me, it looks like there's definitely an issue with browser access into iCloud Notes.

Ok after some playing around, I thought I found a makeshift solution and I thought it would work beautifully but all I found was a really annoying/tedious workaround. (I'm using Apple Notes on Google Chrome Windows 11) All I know for sure is that there's definitely a saving/syncing problem on PC Apple Notes and I don't know why.

Workaround:

1. Type whatever you need to type on apple notes--be mindful of the top right status of your notes. (It should say 'Edited')

2. As soon as the website goes from 'Edited' to 'Saving...' just stop typing--whatever else you try to type will barely save or won't save at all. (Trust me I tested this with a 5 minute wait time)

3. Go to the top right of your screen click on the avatar icon and click sign out. Then Click Trust and Sign Out (to save you time, but if you press sign out it worked too)

4. You should see "Changes are being saved" header just press cancel to this (to save you time) and on the top of your screen after clicking cancel, you should see 'Leave site' header at least on Google Chrome--click leave.

5. Then if you followed the steps correctly you should be on your icloud hub still signed in. Just click on your notes again, if you notice on the top right as you enter notes again the "Saving..." will say "Saved"

I tried waiting for 5 minutes multiple times during the 2nd step and 3rd step to see if Apple Notes would properly save/sync characters I typed after I typed when it already said 'Saving...' but it wouldn't save the full message. And even with this workaround a few characters might not save. I don't why there is no manual save button on the website...
