iMac will not connect to network after WiFi password change
The network password for our network changed and now my Mac can’t find or connect to the net. Rebooted both the router and my Mac but still the same problem.

Firstly, ensure that you're entering the new Wi-Fi password correctly. Sometimes, a simple typo can cause connectivity issues. Make sure to enter the new password exactly as it appears, paying attention to uppercase and lowercase letters as well as any special characters.
If you're certain that the password is correct, try forgetting the Wi-Fi network on your iMac and then reconnecting to it. Here's how you can do that:
1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar at the top-right corner of your screen.
2. Select "Open Network Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
3. In the Network preferences window, select Wi-Fi from the list on the left.
4. Click on the "Advanced" button in the bottom-right corner.
5. In the list of Preferred Networks, select the Wi-Fi network that you're having trouble with.
6. Click on the "-" (minus) button below the list to forget the selected network.
7. Confirm that you want to forget the network.
8. Close the Network preferences window.
9. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar again and select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
10. Enter the new Wi-Fi password when prompted.
After reconnecting to the Wi-Fi network, see if your iMac is able to establish a connection. If the issue persists, try resetting the network settings on your iMac. This will reset all network-related preferences and configurations to their default settings. Here's how you can do that:
1. Go to the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen.
2. Select "System Preferences."
3. Click on "Network."
4. In the Network preferences window, select Wi-Fi from the list on the left.
5. Click on the "Advanced" button in the bottom-right corner.
6. Go to the "TCP/IP" tab.
7. Click on the "Renew DHCP Lease" button.
8. Next, go to the "DNS" tab.
9. Click on the "DNS Servers" field and remove any entries by clicking the "-" (minus) button.
10. Click on the "OK" button to save your changes.
11. Close the Network preferences window.
Once you've reset the network settings, try reconnecting to your Wi-Fi network again and entering the new password. If you're still unable to connect, it's possible that there may be an issue with your router or your iMac's Wi-Fi hardware. In this case, I recommend reaching out to your internet service provider for assistance or contacting Official Apple Support for further troubleshooting.
