Can the Vision Pro be used with a Mac Studio Ultra as a Virtual Display?
This seems like it would be entirely possible, but can the Vision Pro be used with a Mac Studio Ultra as a Virtual Display?

Phillip ~ According to the Apple support article previously posted, there's no restriction on Mac models – only this:
"Make sure that your Apple Vision Pro and your Mac have the latest software updates. Your Mac needs to have macOS 14 Sonoma or later."

Assuming "wireless" means Wi-Fi, is Bluetooth also turned on?

Hello element619
Yes. Any Mac with macOS Sonoma should be able to connect with Apple Vision Pro. While using Vision Pro, just look at your Mac and select "Connect".
I hope this helps!
Yes, works fine.
At the Apple Store today in Thousand Oaks, California I was told that the Vision Pro works only with laptops and iPads and does not work with the Mac Studio or the iMac. For me that's disappointing since I use a Mac Studio with the Studio display. If anyone knows differently, please post.
If you're correct, that's great news, since I do not have a MacBook (am using Apple Studio w/ Display). For some reason, several staff at my local Apple Store said they had gotten a notice that the VP doesn't work with Mac Studio.

Presumably it's a temporary restriction that will be resolved by a future software update.

"There was some drama on social media suggesting that you couldn't connect an Apple Vision Pro to a desktop Mac like a Mac mini or Mac Studio. You can, but it's not quite as simple as connecting a MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro..."

I just bought a Mac Studio Ulta and the Vison Pro but I cannot connect them. I have three monitors connected to my studio and when I look at all of them one by one, there is no connect button.
The Mac Studio has the latest Sonoma update and both devices are connected with the same wireless.
What I am doing wrong?
Yes you can. I have it working with my Mac Studio. It won't show the Connect like it does on a laptop, but you can go to displays, click on + and then select Apple Vision Pro. Works just fine (but need bluetooth keyboard and trackpad)
Ok
Thanks all, I asked because of a reviewer that stated it could only be used with a MacBook Pro, not a desktop. This seems promising.
Hello~ Good to see you!!

It works with my Mac studio just fine… However, you don’t get the automatic connect button, you have to use control center. Docs say it works with any Mac running latest Sonoma.
