Please provide a table/ support grid for compatibility between old Mac OSs and new ones with current versions of migration assistant. Maybe stating what problems start occurring when the span been the OS version being migrated from is large.
Migration Assistant should be supported on any Mac running Lion (10.7.5) or later. Are you having issues with it?

I'm being preventative. An Apple store rep said they don't do in-store migration from certain older Mac desktops and laptops. I didn't get a chance to ask how far back because we were dealing with another issue.
Does Migration Assistant support old OSs? how far back?
