Changing format on movies
I have had recorded movies saved to my hard drive in .mov format, now they have .mpg after the title and they only play the audio. How do I retrieve the video?

First try manually editing the file extension. Control-click a video, then select 'Get Info'. Under 'Name & Extension', change ".mpg" to ".mov" and try opening it again.
If it gives an error, maybe try converting one of the videos back to MOV with an online tool or relevant app.
Bubba,
Thank you very much for your response. In the meantime, I contacted Apple Support and the guy had me download an app that will work with those videos that wouldn't play with Quick Time. All fixed!
Thanks again.
Excellent, glad to hear it.
