Quicktime deleted the wrong file.

I was trimming a video and I accidentally had the name mixed up with a different clip. So when I went to save it it was about to overwrite the wrong clip. I pressed cancel, but the computer had already deleted the clip from the folder so that it would replace it with the new save! The Deleted clip does not show in the trash! Help where could it be?

How to recover a file once trash emptied I tried using Terimnal and inputted the commands to restore a folder of a zoom room session I deleted by mistake. After inputting the file name to terminal it gives me either “file not found” or a command like that says “quote>” im not sure what I’m doing wrong since I have the correct file name. Doni have to use a particular extension when searching for a folder 📁 or when searching for a zoom file? I only want the audio but since the audio was contained in the folder along with the video recording I even tried the file name with the ext m4a and mp4 none of which resulted in anything. I REALLY need this file back any suggestions would be much welcomed! thanks!
