'Connect to Server' & 'Browse' question

This concerns the 'Connect to Server' option at the bottom gf the 'Go' menu on my Intel iMac.The OS is Mojave 10.14.6.

When I click on the 'Browse' option at the bottom of the resulting 'Connect to Server' window my M3 iMac shows up as a grey question mark. Double-clicking on that grey question mark gives me full access to the M3 iMac. However, what can I do to get the iMac icon instead of that question mark?

Macs broadcast themselves over a network (wired or wireless) via Bonjour. However I don’t think they broadcast what they are specifically (ie: a Mac computer based icon as opposed to a PC computer based icon). Assuming your network is provided by an ISP supplied router/firewall then it will be that device which supplies the network “view”.

It's possible the hardware you're using can provide a view based on icons detailing the hardware using the network via a set of command line instructions? In which case a phone call to the hardware manufacturers customer service team may get you further?
