Virus notifications on my Mac

I keep getting virus notifications like Gmail has been hacked, or I have a virus. click here to show more. I read that any notification is a scam but how do I get rid of these?

Unwanted Notifications regarding Virus I am getting a regular notification that i have a virus and i need to install Mcafee to clean it. Anyone else experiencing this . If its a scam how do i stop the notification
