I've just bought a new phone and upgraded to IOS 17.0.3; watch is at 10.0.1 (21R360). I've been using sleep mode, by setting my sleep/wake time in health app for several years, but since the upgrade sleep mode does not turn off in the morning, even after I've woken the phone and watch. Also, is your Apple Watch set to share Focuses across devices? Confirm that Share Across Devices is turned on for your iPhone in Settings > Focus > Share Across Devices, and on your Apple Watch in Settings > Focus.
Also, on your iPhone check your Privacy settings in Settings > Privacy > Focus to ensure the required settings are turned on to share.

I had the same issue mentioned earlier “Apple Watch not waking up. Selecting one of the options showed in photo allowed my watch to wake up. Now I just need to find a way to turn off this option.

PS: APPLE PLEASE STOP ENABLING OPTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF, IF THERE OFF IT MEANS I DONT WANT THEM!

Yes, Focus sharing is enabled on both devices, ad set up in Privacy
I am having exactly the same problem, never had this problem until I upgraded both my iPhone and Apple Watch, the blessed things will not wake up after sleep alarm has gone off on waking!! Not happy.
