iPhone 15 Pro Max Camera Blurry and Out of Focus

Support said today - many are reporting the same issues

It's working in portrait, photo and selfie mode. In photo mode if you don't see the f on the camera screen tap it to bring up the focus icon or just have a look in the menu (editor) on the bottom

What ratio are you using when you take your photos?

Also people google apple holiday exchange. Idk if it works but I feel bad for everyone. That’s why I ran to take mine back for a 14

The camera is faulty, no doubt about that. Has anyone here seen a perfectly sharp IP15 Pro camera? I haven't heard about anyone that replaced the phone with a good unit...

this problem is only for some phones ! I saw many reviews on YouTube there camera is absolutely fine..

There is not, that is clearly a crop of a portion of a digitally zoomed photo.

Note also this site has a size limit on photos so you cannot post photos in full resolution.

Wait; in the photo shown, the shoulder is in focus, background is blurry. This is a standard portrait technique.

The 14 Pro/Pro Max and 15 Pro/Pro Max have larger sensors at a higher resolution and may be slightly less light sensitive but processing usually clears up any noise.

I use the 15PM to shoot documents and it’s awful. It’s like a pincushion distortion that is most noticeable on the left hand side of the image. Everything thru the middle is super sharp but there’s a very annoying blur affecting all the text on the left to far left of the image. It’s very annoying. I upgraded from an 11 which never had this problem. I’m gonna try and get it replaced; fortunately, Australia has strong consumer protection laws in relation to faulty goods.

Im extremely disappointed with my 15 pro max. I felt like my 13 pro max took better photos. I’ve been buying iPhones since they came out but I think this may be the last one I own. For the price it’s absolutely ridiculous. The photos look terrible after capturing.

Yes, they are tack sharp in the middle and out of focus on the edges, with the blur most noticeable on the left hand side. When I shoot a regular photo ( not a document) the photo is great; I’m not having the kind of grainy problem most here are discussing.

Same as above. Would never have traded my previous phone for this. The pics are grainy & hyper brightened, the battery is draining fast as well as the phone is heating up. Going into to Apple on Monday, and yet getting another one will likely be just as bad.

I’m praying it’s a software issue and not faulty cameras. I was able to get my iPhone on 09/22/23 so I’ve had it for almost a month….. I will be really upset if this is the quality of our cameras on the 15.

My pictures have been absolutely stunning on my 15 pro max idk what y’all are doing here. Unless you have some defective cameras because I’ve won exactly zero awards and my pictures look better than what OP is showing here.
