Prevent FCP from downsampling 4K video on a 1080 timeline?

I edit 4K iPhone footage with Adobe Premiere on a 1080 timeline animating scale (and position if necessary) for equestrian events and training.

I'm currently trying out Final Cut Pro but am finding that my 4K footage is downsampled by default. Is there way to prevent this so that I can take advantage of the 4K resolution as I'm used to doing in Premiere? Hoping there is an easy fix for this...

Thanks,

Felicia Lovelett

Select the 4K clips on the browser or project and in the Video inspector set the Spatial conform to None.
