How long does it take between the time a company issues a refund for the funds to be credited back to your Apple Cash balance when you used the Apple Cash card to pay for the purchase being refunded?

When a refund is issued to your Apple Cash balance for a purchase you made using the Apple Cash card in your Apple wallet. Not to Apple credit card or a card linked to your Apple wallet issued from a different financial institution, but to your Apple Cash balance using the Apple Card that every Apple wallet is given when you activate it.

Most card issuers will disclose how long it normally takes between the time when a refund is issued and when those funds will be credited back onto your card(usually between 3-7 days). Does anyone know how long it normally takes for the funds to be credited back into your Apple Cash balance when you use the Apple Cash card to make a purchase that ends up getting refunded?

Yes, and prepaid debit cards are different than regular debit cards (bank issued) and credit cards. Green Dot Bank, issuer and servicer of Apple Cash, usually completes a merchant originated refund within 10 business days. But almost always with 30 days.

Because it was a prepaid debit card, the transaction cannot be disputed via Green Dot.

Hello Dshurae,

There is no set time. This can take longer or shorter on a wide range of factors. Check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

If your refund is approved, the funds are applied to the same payment method that you used to buy the item. Here's how long it takes for a refund to appear on your account or statement:

Store credit—It might take up to 48 hours to see the refund in your Apple Account balance.

Mobile phone billing—It might take up to 60 days for the statement to show the refund. Processing time might be affected by your carrier. You can contact your carrier for an update.

All other payment methods—It might take up to 30 days for the statement to show the refund. If you don't see the refund after 30 days, contact your financial institution.

Please give it a few business days to be refunded to the original payment method that was used for the purchase.

I hope this helps!

Thank you Jeff for actually taking the time to read my question and realizing I didn’t say anything about a purchase of an Apple product or app. I didn’t realize that green dot was the company that Apple uses to service their Apple Cash transactions. I assumed Apple was the. Servicing company.

Your answer was very helpful, now I just have to find out what green dots refund timeline is.
