Return purchases made using Apple Pay, Refund is not showing up on the associated Credit Card.

I returned purchases made using Apple Pay for the 1st time. Refund is not showing up on my CC statement.

I read that it takes 30 days to see the refund posted on the credit card using Apple Pay after purchases were returned. I also read some people never got the refund after 30 days.

Charges using Apple Pay instantly show up on the credit card. Why does it take so long to get the refund using Apple Pay when it’s linked to the same credit card?
