Unable to send emails through Mac

I am unable to send email on my Mac. I can receive mail and I can send and receive email on my iPhone and my iPad but not on my Mac.

Make sure the SMTP port settings are correct. Sometimes port 587 works, sometimes 2662, sometimes 2626. Check with your mail account provider.

TDS is my email and internet provider, they are local to our area. They were unable to assist me but my email is working now. I don't know what I did but it seems to be working. Maybe it was a problem that they fixed.

they were not helpful but I did check my settings and it was set to port 587. Thanks
