Max volume bug in iPhone

I have an issue where I have volume to a minimum. And suddenly I get notifications at full volume. After a while and after some restarts I noticed the more loud I set the volume with the side buttons the quieter it got. Like the scale has turned up side down. Now I use it at 50% all the time. Anyone else with this issue on iOS 16.3.1?

Hello Nicklas Ulander1,

You may find some helpful on adjusting the volume of the iPhone here: Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support

The "Lock the ringer and alert volumes in Settings" section can help with setting things so that the volume slider in Settings > Sounds & Haptics remains at the desired audio level for alerts:

1. Go to Settings .
2. Tap Sounds & Haptics (on supported models) or Sounds (on other iPhone models).
3. Turn off Change with Buttons

As a note, the newest iOS version available at the moment will be iOS 16.4.1. Updating can help ensure the device uses the latest improvements: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Cheers.

Hi

That do not help that the sound scale for the sound for notifications was upside down. When set to Minimum sound level was the loudest and when turned up to Maximum level it was the most quiet. That why I put it at 50%. Was very annoying when I went to bed and suddenly max volume when I got a message when it was put only one step above silent. My wife got a but upset a few times.

Now I have updated to 16.4.1 so Ill try if the bug is resolved.
