My ipad keeps asking me to sign in to iMessage, and when I do, it won’t sign in. Just keeps asking me over and over to sign in. Never had the issue before. iMessage is fine on my computer and phone. Just my ipad is having the issue. Any ideas?

My ipad keeps asking me to sign in to iMessage. When I do, it just keeps coming up over and over again asking me to sign in. This isn’t happening on my computer or iPhone, just the ipad. So, unable to retrieve my messages on my ipad. I’ve re-booted, and checked and double checked my sign-in username and password, but nothing works. As I said, my other devices sign in just fine. Any ideas?

Hi Soccer53,

This may be a connection issue, so the steps we've posted below could help you get signed in with iMessage.

Go to Settings > Messages, and turn off iMessage
If you're using iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi and sign in with iMessage in Settings > Messages.
