Multiple apps open when I start my MacBook Pro
When I start my Mac, multiple apps open such as Word, Whatsapp, and Powerpoint... How can I stop them?

Command Q quits the App, do not quit apps using the red pill button, that will close the window only.
When you shut down select/de-select reopen running application.
You can see all running apps with e HUD (heads up display) Command Tab
Verify you have not added them to Log-in Items: >System Preferences/Settings
