Unable to check for updates. Make sure you are connected to the internet

Hello everyone,

I hope you all good and healthy. We are having an issue and would like to solve this problem as soon as possible.

We can not update any application or Mac OS software of our Mac devices with our business network. We do not have any problem with all windows model computers and works very well. I guess our Mac devices can not reach to apple servers that's why can not received packages/catalogs or updates.

Would you please help us if someone having this issue so far ?

  • I ve tried with MacOs Monterey and Ventura os and having this issue on both software.
  • I ve tried to download and update apps with a new MacBook devices but same problem.

Re: "I guess our Mac devices can not reach to apple servers"

Try:

Apple Menu (Black Apple in top menu bar) >

System Preferences (or "Settings" on Ventura) >

Software update

Else: wondering if this Apple Support article can help:

If you can’t connect to a Wi-Fi network on Mac - Apple Support

or

if wi-fi (or ethernet) is not the problem:

If your Mac isn't connecting to the internet over Wi-Fi

All the best :-)

You are most welcome!

Thank you for letting us know, you still have the issue, cengoit.

Guess you will have checked modem / router / and with your internet provider.

There are a few troubleshooting tips in the article below:

If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support

Eg: "Find out if there’s an outage for a service in your country or region.

Check Apple’s System Status page "

and

Eg: "On your Mac: Open System Settings, click General, then click Date & Time. Or open System Preferences, then choose Date & Time.

Make sure that the date and time on your device(s) are set correctly for your time zone. If the date and time are incorrect, update them or turn on the option to set date and time automatically".

and,

"If you still can’t connect, contact Apple Support."

or

Find a phone number for your country or region:

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
