A US-Spec (nano-SIM’less) iPhone will work internationally as long as it has an eSIM provisioned to enable operation on the local network.

However, it’s always best - from a wireless network frequency-selection aspect - to purchase a phone intended for the region of it’s primary use.

14s sold in other regions DO accept nano-SIMs.
