iMessage and FaceTime

How come I can’t use my phone number for iMessage and FaceTime? It was just working two days ago now it’s not and when I click on the phone number it says waiting to activate.

If you can’t Turn on or Sign in to iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support

If you can't Make a FaceTime Call on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
