Mac OS X Lion not installing

Hey, I recently bought a used MacBook Pro 2011, I think, and I was trying to factory reset it to wipe everything out of it (files, accounts, etc.). I was following a guide on YouTube on how to do it, and when I pressed to reinstall Mac OS X Lion, it said this: "2 billion hours remaining, then 0 seconds." 20 seconds after it comes up saying "Can’t download additional components needed to install Mac OS X," I've been looking up on YouTube all day how to fix this, but nothing's worked. I have a USB drive and a Windows laptop. I was trying to install Mac OS X Lion from Apple's website, but it’s still not working. I get the same error. Please, someone help me. I really don’t want to go to any store to get it fixed if it could be fixed at home.

Hi keandrebtw,

The Mac OS X Snow Leopard (link below) is specifically for MacBook Pro early 2011. Did you verify this is the version you are trying to reinstall the software?

If so, are you using the download from Mac OS X v10.6.7 Update for early 2011 MacBook Pro?

Are you able to run First Aid on the MacBook Pro?

We look forward to hearing back from you!
