Disappearing iMessage

All iMessages are showing up except from one iPhone user contact? The message comes through initially, but when you press on the message to read it….the message disappears.

iPhone X, iOS 15

The other iPhone user has restarted her phone and I’m not a blocked contact either. My messages don’t disappear if I text her in a group text….only if I text her alone does the message disappear.

That’s unexpected behavior , another things you can try before contact Apple Support, try force close the iMessage ☞ Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support , Then open the app to see if it works as expected.

try also update your iPhone to latest iOS version ☞ Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

turn off the iMessage and turn it back on by going to Settings > message > iMessage-turn off and then turn on.

if all of that doesn’t help contact Apple support for further help ☞ Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
