How do I reduce storage in "other"?

How do I reduce storage in "other" on my MacBook? It shows nearly 97 GB in use - more than anything on my Mac. Yet, I don't know what is in it and I can't go through it to eliminate anything.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
