I have set goals but the app isn’t detecting any motion at all

The new fitness app that appears once updating to iOS 16, I’ve put in all my details and my goals. I did my morning walk as usual but the app has not detected anything at all.

I used another app which detected my steps perfectly

please could someone help me out. Thank you.

It appears you have the app set up on your iPhone. We'd next suggest checking Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness and assure Fitness Tracking is switched on. This could prevent your steps from being tracked.
