My daughter is missing a lot of photos on her iphone, and we do not see them in her icloud account. tow days ago all her photos were visible and now she only sees photos from 2019 till now. She is missing a few years of photos. how can I restore this?

The iCloud back up might have turned as off View and manage iCloud device backups - Apple Support turn iCloud back up as on .

we also checked recent deleted or hidden and no luck.
My english is not so good, but if i understand it correclty, she has to restore her iphone with a previous icloud backup to get her photo's back, correct?

installed a iCloud backup from 5 days ago, but no luck. Photos are still missing. any other suggestions to get about 500 photo’s back?
