Name is too big for the apple card

I requested an apple card and the request got processed. The next day, I got a notification saying that the card could not be delivered due to a shipping issue, and I reach out to customer care.

After waiting for 30 mins on multiple holds, I got to know that my name was too long for the card.

The solution provided by the customer support is that I get my legal name changed and provide proof of it to the apple support team to get the request for a physical card request processed.

This doesn't make any sense. Why would I have to change my name to get a credit card?

Have anyone else faced this issue? please suggest any solutions to get a physical card.

Well, since all of us here are just users like yourself and not Apple employees, we can’t do much to help. Your issue is really a strange one. Perhaps if you called Goldman Sachs instead of Apple you might get a better response. Goldman Sachs is the bank that issues and processes the Apple Card.
