If I have a lot of windows open on my iPad is that what is slowing it down?

Your iPad2, an old model, will never be able to produce performance equivalent to current models of iPad.

While your iPad can automatically manage open Apps to release resources when needed, you can force-close Apps that you are not using should you choose to do so. An occasional forced-restart may also be beneficial.

• On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
• On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
