Can I cancel iTunes Match if I have Apple Music or will I lose my music catalog?

If you purchased your music from iTunes using a laptop instead of your phone, you will need iTunes Match in order to sync the music to your phone. So yippee, you get to pay for the privilege of listening to the music you've already paid for.
Is that true for music that doesn't exist from Apple? For example, I have a ton of remixes of songs that are not available on Apple Music. I continue to subscribe to iTunes Match to ensure I have access to these songs across all devices.
Hi,
You don’t need iTunes Match as its features are included in Apple Music. Both use the same iCloud music library, so any change will be seamless. Make sure that your library has been downloaded and backed up before making the change.

Hi
Not true. Music purchased from iTunes Store is automatically available on all your devices. You can also redownload if necessary. Redownload music - Apple Support.
iTunes Match is used to scan music in your library on your computer and this allows you access to your music across all compatible devices..

Hi,
You don’t need iTunes Match to sync music to your iOS devices. Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod with your computer – Apple Support (UK).
If you have more than one computer, you can use iTunes Match to keep your music libraries in sync but this is not necessary unless you are concerned about keeping metadata in sync..
