How Can I Remove "Striped" Background From List View In a Folder?

The default visual for list view in a folder is to have alternating "stripes" in the background (I'm running dark mode, so they're black and grey.....I think in normal mode they are white and grey).....see screen shot.

I hate the look of this, and had an all-white folder background on my 2017 MacBook Pro. I've clicked around in System Preferences and in Finder Menu --> View, but have not had any luck. I Googled around and tried to phrase this in different ways, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
