itunes page as it appears on my PC

My itunes page used to appear as a listing of the somg-artist-time-genre

now it is a large picture of the album cover with a list of the left side.

This sounds like you have iTunes set in mini player. In the support document Use iTunes Mini Player on PC Apple has the following instruction for turning off mini player in Windows:

Exit Mini Player: Click the Close button in the top-right corner of the Mini Player window.

On a Mac it would be from the Menu Bar > Window > Mini Player [toggle on or off]
