MacOS apps to IOS devices

I have a purchased app on my macOS device, which I’d also like to use on my iPhone. I can’t find it in my account on my phone and I do not want to purchase the app again.

How can I transfer the app from my Mac to iPhone without purchasing it again?

The equivalent apps (like Speedtest) aren't really the same. However, iPad and iPhone apps typically are available for both and may be shared with the same purchase. It's sometimes annoying though since they may automatically download on another device.

If there's a device that's already been downloaded (including purchases) on another device and available, you'll see the little cloud with the download arrow. But I don't believe that applies to MacOS and iOS apps.
