Only 4:3 format?

Yesterday, I rented Snyder's Justice League via Apple TV App on Xbox Series X.

The movie spec said Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but I only got 4:3 picture format. Surely; this ancient TV format cannot be the only way to view a cinematic feature?

What have I missed?

This notice should have been present in the Apple TV App.

It does. Read the last sentence of the About text for this title.

Instead it said 4K and Dolby Vision...

4K and Dolby Vision are different properties, and say nothing of the aspect ratio. 4:3 can be 4K (2160p) and DV. Most titles don’t mention the aspect ratio, even though it varies.

No. Not in the Norwegian store, where it only reads «Bruce Wayne er fast bestemt på å ikke la Supermans oppofrelse være forgjeves og allierer seg med Diana Prince med planer om å rekruttere er team for å beskytte verden mot en trussel av katastrofale dimensjoner.»

This synopsis is followed by a line of metrics: Action 2021 4t2min Tomato71% 15 4K DolbyVisiin DolbyAtmos CC

In the context of television and consumer media, there is generally no confusion regarding the implied aspect ratio of 4K.

Only 4:3 format?
