Homepod Mini: "Something Went Wrong" Message
My Homepod Mini recently began stating "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again in a few moments". This occurs 1-3 times a day randomly (terrifying at night). Has anyone's exhibited this behavior and found a culprit? I am suspecting the unit itself, which I will elaborate on.
- I confirmed in my wireless access point (Ruckus Wireless) the unit is not disconnecting from WiFi when this occurs. There are no other internet connectivity issues when this occurs.
- This happens without any interaction (by itself). It also persists when 'Hey Siri' is disabled in settings.
- This happens at various volumes, and is in a different male voice than what Siri it set to. The volume is set it minimum, however the voice can even be at maximum when it occurs.
- Factory reset does not eliminate the issue.
- iOS 15.2 (latest at time of writing) is running on the unit.
- When looking at the analytics data, I see no log for the time at which it occurs. However, I do see a strange 1969 year date log periodically being created (unsure if related, as timestamp is incorrect). Bug type 211.
- There are about 3 smart light switches/plugs, a garage door opener, and video doorbell in Apple Home, however I am not seeing any connectivity/internet issues with these either. I've checked router/Wireless AP logs, and all behave normally. Never have any issues such as 'not responding, etc.
- I've had the unit for 11.5 months. This only started the last few weeks. Nothing changed other than the iOS 15.2 update, which seems the be the only correlation I've noted.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
