Dictation
I have an iPhone 12 and an iPad Pro 12.9.
somehow enable dictation has suddenly started in my iPad and I can’t turn it off, as Enablr Dictation does not appear in settings.
it’s frustrating me, as being legally blond, I have sent messages that have been dictated through my voice even though I didn’t type anything.
How do I turn dictation off?
I’ve found the problem. It was “Voice Control”.
I went to setting and entered “Microphone” - and it told me to try Voice Control, which I found turned on.
so I turned it off and now the problem is gone.

Hi Doug1941, thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.
I wonder if you might go to Settings > General > Keyboards and see if 'Enable Dictation' is turned on.

Which iPad Pro do you have? It may be because your iPad Pro and iPadOS are the older model and specs and therefore Enable Dictation is not available.
My iPad Pro is a 12.9 and a pretty new model. Less than 2 years old. I’m sure the dictation setting was in settings until a week or so ago. This has only been happening for a few days.
