Hello Apple Community User,


Thank you for participating in Apple Discussions!


To Setup Auto App updates:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down to App Store and tap on it
  3. Turn on Auto App Updates


To Setup Auto iOS, or iPadOS Updates:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap, Software Update
  4. Tap Automatic Updates
  5. Enable Download iOS Updates
  6. (if you want) Enable Install iOS Updates


this is the same way to setup auto update on iPad and iPod Touch.
