In the Songs view of a playlist you can sort the list by clicking on column headings. The album heading set to album by artist (click more than once if needed) is the conventional sort order.

Typically it means the item is in the cloud rather than stored locally. See Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support.
