USB output at native file bit rate and sample depth

I have my mac mini connected via usb to an external DAC that will switch based on the bit depth and the sample rate of the music file (for example when fed by software such as audirvana or roon with either streaming or local files). Given the different bit rates and sample depths available now via streaming from Apple Music how do I get my Mac mini to automatically output the native bit depth and sample rate streaming from Apple Music to my DAC? So far I am only able to set a blanket output in the audio midi settings, that doesn’t change with the different native file parameters.
