Old iTunes music in the cloud …

Hi,

So, I now have a subscription to Apple Music but that has caused problems with my old iTunes stuff. So, my old playlist have been wiped clean… for some reason… not happy about that…

I’m only able to see my old music as part of the : “family purchases” and as “Not in my library.”

I’m given the option to download the music files but I can’t stream it directly without downloading them… So, is there a way for me to add these old music files to a playlist without downloading them to the Mac?

in total I have about 250 files I would like to bring back to Music from the purchased tab

Am I missing something here?

You should be able to redownload you purchased music:

Redownload music - Apple Support

but you may have to do it one song (or album) at a time.
