Since upgrading to 12.0.1 JPEG icons cannot be viewed in Finder

In macOS Monterey, I can open a Folder full of .jpg images… click the tool bar for "Icon View"… and then, every file shows a generic "Preview" icon, instead of a preview of the actual image in the file.

What am I missing?

TIA.

Booting into Safe Mode allowed me to view - CORRECTLY! - the Icon Preview of all the JPG files in a Finder window. Then I did a Restart. After Logging In, I found that the Icon View of JPG files in a Finder window had been REPAIRED.

So… PROBLEM SOLVED!
