I have an IPad but no other Apple device. DO i still need a prescription with Apple?

You do not need any app or video streaming subscriptions to use any Apple iOS/iPadOS device.

IIf you ever choose to cancel a subssciption to app or video streaming subscription is the app that more no longer work, but NOT the entire iPad.

You DO need to pay the either Internet or cellular data services to be able to use any Internet-based tablet device online to be abke to access the Internet, email, text messages, etc..

What do you mean by "prescription"? In English, a prescription is usually used to mean an order from your doctor for drugs/medications.
