mac mini display settings

Hi,

I have a Mac Mini with M1 chip. with 2 monitors.

Main one is ViewSonic VO3268-4K connected with HDMI and second is Apple LED Cinema Display 27" connected on USB C via adapter.

I set them to scaled, 2560 x 1440 for each monitor (perfect)

When my computer is in sleep mode for a while and I go back to my computer the settings changed on their own to 3840 x2160 for the ViewSonic and 1280 x720 for the LED Cinema display. When I try change them back, the options to change no longer appear in the dialogue boxes, so I have to unplug them and start again.

Not ideal. Why is this happening? Can I prevent this from happening?

Thank you,

Denis

Disable Sleep, it’s not needed. Check “Prevent…” in Energy preferences and uncheck everything else except automatic restart on power fail. Then shut down, remove power cord from wall/strip socket for 10 minutes, then bring everything back up again. Good luck!
