I have a follow up question but first things first: Thank you! iCloud Keychain was set up on my Mac, but I was having problems with accessing passwords. I did a check of a couple of websites & it all seems to be working. I’ll have to post again if the problem reoccurs.
My follow up question is how do I access the credit card numbers stored in iCloud Keychain? I have a couple of cards that don’t exist anymore & I had removed my checking account debit card everywhere I could find it in my settings, because a couple times, ApplePay inexplicably ignored my preferred payment method, and at least once, even the payment method listed second, and charged items to that debit card. Apple Support never found an explanation, so to prevent my checking account from being used when I didn’t want to, I removed it from my ApplePay & my Wallet. Since I did so, I still had another instance where I used ApplePay & my debit card was used. I checked with the company I was purchasing from, they assured me they billed ApplePay & had no other payment methods on file & Apple Support insisted the problem was with the vendor. I now know why I see my debit card showing up despite thinking I deleted everywhere. How do I delete saved cards from Keychain? I canceled my debit card and got a new one, but now I see that showing up as a suggestion to auto fill credit/debit fields. How do I prevent Keychain from saving credit card numbers? I don’t want to have to use credit cards for everything like autopay on utility bills just to protect my actual money in checking from being accessed without my authorization.
