I am having trouble turning on my built-in camera on my Mac desktop Big Sur. How do I turn my camera on? I did try going to privacy and there was no camera listing.
iMac 21.5″, OS X 10.11
first go into the zoom app preferences in the "video" tab and ensure your built-in camera is selected.
then when you go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy in the "camera" tab and see if you can then choose to allow "zoom.us".

My camera was turned off. I reset the SMC and then went to my apps and was able to turn the camera on for one APP.
I then opened up Zoom and I was able to turn the camera on. Thank you for your suggestions and help!

aside from the answers i already gave to the OP, you may want to try and Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac.
Thank you for your response. I followed your directions. I know that my camera is turned off. When I went into Privacy and Settings and then Privacy, the word Camera does not show up on the left side as shown above. How can I get camera on that list? Thank you.
