Not accepting Irish postcode

i am currently trying to set up an iPhone 7 Plus and it will not let me download apps until I complete my Apple ID. It is looking for a postcode but won’t except the Irish one. I have the region set to Ireland and is still looking for a postcode instead of an aircode. Can u please help me.

You’ll want to contact Apple Support, if the Eircode is not being accepted. Use the Get Support link in the upper right of this webpage, or request a chat or phone call, or via iTunes Support: Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support

If the Apple ID country is correct, it’s possible Apple has geolocated your country incorrectly (based on info from the ISP), and this has sent the prompts wrong.
