Spyware

I just had a pop up ad trying to get me to download a free app to eliminate Pegasus. What is Apple doing about this?

Well, that advertisement lied to you about eliminating Pegasus. (Keep your iPhone and apps updated, etc.)


But that’s the thing with far too many pop-up ads. They lie.


ASC has had many postings about another common and fraudulent pop-up, claiming your iPhone has ([some random number]) virus infections. Also a lie.
