i found an iphone

i found an iphone xs max 2 weeks ago and i have been trying to find his owner but i couldn't because i'm living in tourism city, this phone for one of the tourist i knew that because of the SIM in this phone isn't from my country

so the question is can i use this phone ?

if no

can i get any information about the owner to give it back to him

You cannot use it. It's also theft to keep something you know belongs to another person.


Apple will not give you any information about the person who originally purchased that phone as it would be a violation of privacy laws.


All you can do is turn it in to the local police, or possibly the hotel where the visitor was staying, if you happen to know where that is. Otherwise, all you can do is responsibly recycle it.
