apple tv not connecting to network

Installed a new mesh router which uses WPA3 security. All my other devices (iPhones (2), MB Air, iPad) work fine with the new router's wi-fi. The Apple TV will NOT, no matter what I do. I have entered the SSID password several times. Absolutely no luck.

Does Apple TV not work with WPA 3? Other than the router itself, that's the only thing that's changed---and all my other devices are happy as can be with the new router. What gives?

Apple TV HD does not support WPA3. You’ll need Apple TV 4K for that.

Apple TV 4K or later would support WPA3.

Earlier models do not, and may need “WPA2/WPA3 Transitional” to use this Wi-Fi.

WPA3 certification began in June 2018. WPA3 is required for device certification since July 1, 2020.

• WPA2/WPA3 Transitional is a mixed mode that uses WPA3 Personal with devices that support that protocol, while allowing older devices to use WPA2 Personal (AES) instead.
