Problem with Google searches

Hi!

For a little while now I’ve been having issues using Google search engine.

When clicking on a search result it says “the web page is unavailable” with a blue “try again” button.

Wifi is on, as is mobile data. Other apps are working so not a connection issue.

Ive switched mobile off & on. Force stopped Google app, and did one of those hard reboots that seem to help black screen of death issues.

But I’m at a loss now of what else to try??

Family members with other mobile devices are not having this issue on my WiFi.

I’d appreciate any help x

Hello technophobegillie,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing some issues with the Google app on your iPhone. We are happy to help.

To start, if you are using the Google app itself on your iPhone and it's not working, take a look at the steps listed in this helpful article that goes over what to do if an app stops working as expected:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

You can also use Safari and make the primary search engine as Google. Take a look at how to do that here:

Search for websites using Safari on iPhone

We hope this information helps.

Best Regards.
