I am getting random threats in my calender telling me that my phone is going to get a virus in 35 minutes if I don’t click on a certain link. I keep avoiding but but it keeps piping up every half hour and I can’t get rid of it. What should I do?

If running iOS 13 or earlier versions, check: Settings - Passwords & Accounts - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.
If running iOS 14, check: Settings - Calendar - Accounts - Any rogue entries here? If so, delete the rogue account.

The message in the calendar are all nonsense. Unless you accessed one of the links in the messages, and downloaded a useless app, or provided personal or financial information at a linked site, all is fine.
For clarification, are the bogus messages gone from the calendar?
The OS is very secure. However, when users accept invitations from websites to allow notifications, or other such “freebies” they will see spam in their calendar. You will need to follow the instructions specific to your version of iOS to rid your calendar of the spam.
There was one now I took it out the message is gone now it says that my personal data could be stolen. Will it be stolen if I didn’t click on the link?
No they are still there. I haven’t done anything with them I just keep ignoring the notifications. Why is this happening isn’t iOS the most secure operating system?
